Gunnebo Entrance Control Wins Detekor International
Awards 2004
Gunnebo Entrance Control’s immigration gate
the ImmSec won Detektor International’s prestigious award
as ”Best product” in the category ”Best access
control product”. The winner was presented on the 3rd of November
at the Sectech’s security banquet in Copenhagen.
Rachel Ward Owen, Marketing Manager at AR Media International in
Great Britain says the nominated products were selected from the
vast array of products introduced to the industry on the international
market during the last 12 months. In total Detektor International’s
or AR Media International’s other medias (Detector Scandinavia
and SecurityWorldHotel.com), has documented approximately 1600 products.
Detektor’s motivation for awarding Gunnebo Entrance Control
was ”For succeeding in combining the market’s needs
of security and efficiency in an unique aesthetic design”.
We are very pleased to have won this prestigious award in this
fierce competition, says Lars Proos, President of Gunnebo Entrance
Control. This shows the strength of Gunnebo Entrance Control’s
product development, design and functionality capabilities. It also
gives us a confirmation that our strategies and focuses for the
future is on the right track, continues Lars Proos.
As one of the main awardees Gunnebo Entrance Control received the
traditional glass sculpture that is designed specially for this
occasion by one of the world’s most respected and famous glass
designers Mr Bertil Vallien. The price was handed over during the
price ceremony at the Sectech’s security banquet in Copenhagen
and the nominated competitors were Simons Voss Technologies (Switzerland),
Nedap (the Nederlands) and Lenel (USA).
Detektor International is an international branch magazine concerning
security technology for the European market. AR Media International
who introduced this award in 2000 publishes the magazine. The award
were introduced to honour those invaluable products and manufacturers
that have contributed with particularly innovative, original and/or
new technological designs and developments to our industry.
